Not Given Lightly
On Saturday 3oth January I had the privilege of performing ?Not given lightly? by NZ Singer/Songwriter Chris Knox at my brother in law Richards wedding. Held at First Church, Dunedin, he married my dear friend Lou. I was accompanied by Chris Perkins, who was amazing on guitar and vocals also.?Not given lightly? was a song I hadn?t sung before, and soon discovered the brilliant song writing of Chris Knox. As most of you know Chris Knox suffered a Stroke in June 2009, and recently an album of his songs, performed by other artists was released to celebrate his music. The album is called STROKE and all proceeds from the album are going towards Chris? recovery. I have had a listen via this site http://www.chrisknox.co.nz/ and must say, the version of ?Not given lightly? performed by Boh Runga is stunning. Go and have a listen or go buy the album!
